The Wilderness Treatment Center is a rehab facility located on a rustic ranch in the Rocky Mountains in Marion, Montana. The licensed, residential center provides a 60-day chemical dependency treatment program specifically designed for young men ages 14-to-24.
What is the Wilderness Treatment Center
The Wilderness Treatment Center employs a 12-step recovery program that is restricted to young men only. As part of the 60-day program, four-and-a-half days of family therapy are included. In addition, the program includes a wilderness experience 16-to-21 days in duration.
Where is the Wilderness Treatment Center Located
Since the Wilderness Treatment Center is located on an active and working 4,000-acre cattle ranch, outdoor activities are a large part of the program. Some of the activities include the ROPES course, rappelling, backpacking, cross country skiing, ranch work therapy and of course the wilderness exhibition.
The Wilderness Treatment Center has been featured on national television and in some prominent publications. Wilderness was selected as one of the 100 best treatment centers for alcoholism and drug abuse by Avon Books. The Wilderness Treatment Center has also been spotlighted in “National Geographic” magazine.
Most major medical policies will approve and accept the services provided by the Wilderness Treatment Center. All transportation and medical costs are the responsibility of the patient and his family.
